This post offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly specialized area in paediatrics and AMS.
Main duties of the job
This is a split role: half with the Pharmacy Paediatric Team and half with the Paediatric AMS/ID Team.
1. Be an active member of the pharmacy and clinical teams, ensuring high standards of medicines use within the Trust.
2. Promote safe, effective, and economical medicine use by providing timely clinical services to optimize patient care.
3. Provide education and training in paediatric pharmacy to staff, students, and trainees.
4. Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services in paediatric areas, including specialist services.
5. Support the safe and effective use of medicines in clinical settings.
6. Offer specialized education to uphold high standards of patient safety and care.

Person specification
* Masters Degree (4-year MPHARM or equivalent) in Pharmacy
* Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice, with expected diploma completion or equivalent
* Experience in multiple clinical settings and in quality improvement projects
* Mentoring and training experience
* Proficiency with Office 365 applications
* Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
* Participation in Edward Jenner Leadership programme or similar
* Hospital experience in paediatrics
* Understanding of medicines funding streams
* Experience with protocols, guidelines, and electronic prescribing systems
