What are we looking for?
We want an experienced, enthusiastic, and proactive Band 6 Nurse with at least 12 months of experience at this level, who is eager to take on a challenge and help drive excellence in nursing education.
The ideal candidate will:

14. Work clinically as part of the team when required (1-2 LD shifts per month)
Main duties of the job
15. To maintain primary responsibility for ensuring the Care Group provides a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff.
16. To support and coordinate the development of Health Care Assistants, TNAs, NAs, and both pre- and post-registration nursing students by coordinating educational activities and assessments of learning within the department.
17. To assist in the preparation of internationally educated nurses for their OSCEs, depending on specialist skills and area of expertise.
18. To support statutory and mandatory training as required to ensure compliance within the Care Group and Trust-wide (including, but not limited to, ALERT, ILS, ALS, PILS, EPLS, APLS, NALS).
19. To actively promote and contribute to inter-professional learning activities across the Care Group and Trust-wide.
20. To provide effective role modelling and leadership by working clinically as per service needs and identified job plan clinical percentage.
21. To act as the education and training lead for the specialist area of practice.
22. To provide pastoral support, guidance, and training to all stakeholders on all aspects of pre- and post-registration nursing and midwifery.
