Project Manager (Fit Out - Consultancy)
Location: Romford and London sites
My client is dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy, specialising in the UK fit out industry.
With a history spanning over 30 years, now is an exciting time to join them as they continue with their expansion plans, focusing on the growth of Project Management services.
This is a full time permanent position, with working locations split between site attendances around London and the UK, the head office in Romford and flexible home working arrangements by agreement.
Delivering consultancy-side Project Management services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Fit Out projects from inception to completion. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
The projects vary in value and complexity, from £100K refresh projects to £2M+ new fit outs, currently focused in the healthcare, veterinary, retail and wider commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and supervise fit out projects from inception to completion.
* Develop pre contract project plans, briefing documents, risk registers and programmes to control the delivery of projects.
* Lead the project teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure a co-ordinated and cost-effective delivery.
* Monitor project progress and adjust project plans as necessary to maintain control throughout.
* Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and project team members.
* Present regular project updates and reporting.
* Assist with project budgeting, tendering and whole project cost control (minor works only)
* Manage and control project costs.
* Ensure the controlled completion, inspection and close down of projects.
As Project Manager, the ideal candidate will have:
* A Degree in a construction related field.
* Professional accreditation or working to towards professional accreditation desirable (RICS, APM, CIOB).
* Proven experience in a Project Management role within a consultancy practice, with the ability to run projects with autonomy.
* Experience within the fast-paced commercial fit out sector, delivering multiple projects at once.
* Strong analytical, relationship management, communication and organisational skills.
* Use of Excel and PowerPoint is essential, use of MS Projects is a plus.
