The diversity of the product offering
encompasses a Luxury hotel, with 204 rooms within the main Hotel and Villa
accommodation, 11 meeting rooms, 3 golf courses, The Spa at Turnberry, Stables
and Turnberry Adventures across the grounds of the 827-acre resort. The
property is owned and managed by The Trump Organisation.
POSITION
PURPOSE
Reporting to the General Manager, and acting as a member of
the resort leadership team (Executive Committee), the successful candidate will
be responsible for the overall financial leadership, control and commercial
performance of the resort, leading the effective and efficient use of financial
resources. You will plan, direct and
manage the provision of accurate, timely and objective financial data from
which informed management decisions can be made as well as recommending
remedial action when and where necessary.
You will partner with operational leaders to drive profitability across
all revenue streams whilst ensuring robust financial governances, compliance
and cash management. You will be responsible for leading the Finance team, ensuring
the department is professional, service-oriented and highly skilled. You will actively participate in all resort leadership/management
activities as a member of the Executive Committee (ExCom). This is an on-property role.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
● You will manage and coordinate the
relationship between the Owners (Trump Organisation) and the Executive
Committee from a financial perspective.
● Full responsibility (with the
Corporate Director of Finance) for the financial controls of the Resort.
● Full trial balance responsibility,
including completion of Profit & Loss month end in accordance with the
agreed company standard deadlines.
● Full end to end ownership and
accountability for creating the annual budget, ensuring it is submitted within
corporate timelines.
● Assist in the creation, implementation
and submission of all company’s forecasts.
● Creating and maintaining all finance
related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as training all HODs on
financial SOPs as part of their onboarding and continuous professional
development.
● Full responsibility for payroll
management, including the preparation of annual department FTE structures.
● Responsible for all compliance
with HMRC reporting including management of VAT and other relevant taxes.
● Liaison with external
auditors/owners on all relevant matters, including periodic financial reporting.
● Ensure appropriate control over
the company’s assets and in particular, cash controls are in place.
● Calculate and monitor variances
from the budget and highlight significant issues to management along with
solutions.
