Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to support individuals in their daily lives within their own home environment. The successful candidate will provide personalised assistance, promote independence, and ensure the well-being of service users. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through dedicated person centred home care support.
Responsibilities
* Assist service users with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
* Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
* Help with light household chores including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
* Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members and family members
* Follow instructions diligently and adapt to changing care requirements
Skills
* Valid driving licence - mileage supplement paid
* Previous experience working in a care setting is advantageous but not essential due to an in depth training programme
* Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans effectively
* Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
This role is ideal for motivated individuals who are committed to providing high-quality home assistance. Candidates should be organised, compassionate, and capable of working independently while collaborating with a wider care team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £13.50-£13.75 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 32 per week
