Principal Teacher of Physical Education and Health and Wellbeing
Location: Biggar High School.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary: Principal Teacher 4, £64,503 per year.

Duties
* Lead, manage and support the work of colleagues, providing strategic direction and guidance as necessary.
* Lead curriculum development and quality assurance.
* Contribute to the development of school policy in relation to behaviour management of pupils.
* Review and support professional development and performance of colleagues through career‑long professional learning.
* Lead, implement and manage whole‑school policies including guidance, pastoral care and behaviour support where required.
Principal Teachers will receive a reduction in weekly class contact to enable them to carry out those duties. Additional duties must be undertaken within the 35‑hour working week and, if a classroom teacher role is retained, within the arrangements agreed at establishment level.
