Part-Time
Are you someone who takes pride in getting the details right? Do you enjoy helping people and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes? We’re working with a well-respected professional services firm in Edinburgh that’s looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a place where your work will be valued — and where you’ll be encouraged to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a key part of the payroll team, making sure clients’ payrolls are processed accurately and on time. You’ll work with a wide range of businesses — from small charities to growing companies — and no two days will be quite the same.
Here’s a summary of what your day might include:
* Running weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls from start to finish.
* Answering client queries with clarity and care.
* Making sure everything is compliant with HMRC and payroll legislation.
* Supporting year-end processes like P60s and P11Ds.
* Collaborating with colleagues across the business to deliver a great client experience.
What We’re Looking For
We’re not about ticking every box — we’re about finding the right person. That said, here’s what would help you thrive in this role:
* Experience processing payroll (especially in a bureau or multi-client setting).
* Confidence using payroll software like Sage, BrightPay, or similar.
* A love of detail and a knack for staying organised.
* A friendly, professional approach to working with clients and colleagues.
* A good understanding of UK payroll rules — or a willingness to learn.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
This firm genuinely puts people first — and that includes you. Here’s what you can expect:
* Flexibility: Hybrid working, part-time options, and a real respect for work-life balance.
* Support: A welcoming team, approachable managers, and plenty of learning opportunities.
* Culture: A values-led environment where doing the right thing — for clients, colleagues, and the community — is at the heart of everything.
If you like the look of this vacancy and think you could perform the role, but, you don't think you meet all the requirements, please DO APPLY for this opportunity. Data shows that certain groups, mainly women and people from BIPOC communities, are less likely to apply for jobs where they don't meet 100% of role. iMultiply would encourage you to apply for roles where there is room for development and growth.
iMultiply is committed to diversity and will promote diversity for all employees, workers and applicants. iMultiply will treat everyone equally and will not discriminate on the grounds of an individual's protected characteristic.
