Early Years Teaching Assistant – (Temporary - Part Time)
North Tyneside
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Full Days) working in a Primary School Environment.
February 2026 – July 2026
£450 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)
The School and Role
We are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly primary school in the North Tyneside area. Working as part of an established team, the desired Early Years Teaching Assistant will be supporting in their Nursery provision, delivering support to the whole nursery as well as some tailored one-to-one support where required. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. This school believes in an embedded creative curriculum in all areas of learning. The school is open to unqualified Teaching Assistants initially as long as they have experience of working in the EYFS. But ideally, we would be looking for someone fully qualified.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will:
1. Ideally have experience working within early years settings or similar.
2. Be able to provide a stimulating learning environment.
3. Prepare and develop learning resources if necessary.
4. Be able to assess and evaluate children’s development and learning needs.
5. Supporting children with extra needs on a 1:1 basis.
6. Be flexible, reliable and adaptable.
7. A valid DBS and the right to work in the UK.
