Job Description
TPF Recruitment is supporting a growing and highly regarded accountancy practice in Chichester with the recruitment of a Bookkeeper to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional looking to further develop their career within a supportive and modern practice environment.
Working from the Chichester office on a full time basis, you will support a varied portfolio of clients across bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, and management accounts, whilst gaining exposure to a broad range of businesses and industries.
As a Bookkeeper, you will:
Process bookkeeping data using cloud based software including Dext, Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks.
Accurately match, batch, and code client documentation.
Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and submit VAT Returns in line with deadlines and client requirements.
Prepare and submit CIS Returns.
Assist with the preparation of management accounts, including basic commentary and analysis.
Resolve bookkeeping queries, post adjustments, and correct errors with support from senior team members where required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and high quality service to clients.
Undertake additional duties and responsibilities in line with the needs of the role and business.
Requirements
Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment.
Experience using cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage, Dext, and QuickBooks.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise work across a varied client portfolio.
Positive and proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
AAT Level 3 qualified or studying towards this qualification would be advantageous.
