What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting the Year 5 class teacher with day-to-day lesson delivery
• Leading small group sessions in core subjects such as maths, reading, and writing
• Providing 1:1 support to pupils who need additional academic or emotional help
• Encouraging independent learning, focus and active classroom participation
• Assisting with assessment prep, classroom organisation and learning displays
• Helping pupils prepare for a successful transition into Year 6
Ideal Year 5 Teaching Assistant for This Croydon School:
• Graduate or experienced TA with a genuine interest in upper Key Stage 2
• Friendly, enthusiastic and confident working with pupils aged 9–10
• Strong communication skills and a calm, adaptable approach
• Any prior experience with KS2 SATs prep or academic mentoring is a bonus
• Committed to full-time, term-time work from September to July
• Eager to gain classroom experience before progressing into teaching or related fields
