Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (EYFS)

Pay: £90–£94 per day
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected primary school from September 2026. This rewarding role will focus on supporting children within the new EYFS cohort as they transition into the classroom environment for the first time.
You will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, settled, and ready to learn by providing tailored emotional, social/ SEN support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils, focusing on emotional and social development
* Support children with the transition into the classroom and school routines
* Assist pupils both inside and outside the classroom with small, structured tasks
* Help establish and maintain a consistent and suitable rhythm to the school day
* Work closely with the class teacher to implement learning and support strategies
* Liaise with the SENCo where necessary to ensure individual needs are met
Requirements
* Previous experience working with children is essential (this may include schools, nurseries, childcare settings, or other relevant environments)
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young children in their early development
Safeguarding & Vetting

* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Professional references covering the past two years
* Verification of identity and right to work in the UK
* Completion of safeguarding and compliance training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
