Job summary
Due to continued growth and new projects, Lagan MEICA Ltd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Belfast, working alongside our commercial and site teams.
What you’ll do
* Provide commercial support for Lagan MEICA contracts.
* Prepare accurate and timely reports for management, ensuring contract targets are met.
* Maintain and coordinate all necessary commercial reports for contract management.
* Manage site material and labour trackers with accurate information.
* Ensure the accuracy of all commercial data.
* Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials.
* Prepare Sub-Contract documentation, ensuring main contract provisions are communicated to the supply chain to mitigate risks.
* Administer timely payments to subcontractors in line with schedules and contracts.
* Report on subcontractor liabilities monthly, capturing current and forecasted costs.
* Support value recovery, and manage variations in line with change control processes.
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Promote an inclusive and equal opportunity culture.
What you’ll bring
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
* At least 1 year of experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
* Understanding of Standards Form of Contract (e.g., NEC).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
* Working towards or willing to pursue professional membership (e.g., RICS).
