Senior Quantity Surveyor – Gas Infrastructure Projects
South London & Southern Home Counties
Permanent (preferred) or Contract Considered
£70,000 - £75,000 + car and benefits (Day rates considered)
We are currently supporting a large, well-established contractor delivering critical gas infrastructure works across South London and the southern home counties, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term programme of utility infrastructure projects, supporting the commercial delivery of schemes from early stages through to completion.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of multiple gas infrastructure projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the commercial aspects of gas infrastructure projects from procurement through to final account
* Administration of NEC contracts, including change management and compensation events
* Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, and cost reports
* Working closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme and within budget
* Managing subcontractor accounts and supporting procurement activities
* Providing commercial support and guidance to operational teams
About You
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
* Previous experience working within the utilities sector, ideally gas infrastructure projects
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
* Ability to manage the commercial delivery of multiple projects
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site and project teams
