Fabricator / TIG Welder
Manufacturing / Factory-Based Role
An established UK manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems is seeking a skilled Fabricator / TIG Welder to join its factory team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist engineering environment producing high-quality stainless steel and sheet metal products for commercial applications.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the fabrication and TIG welding of a range of commercial ventilation components, including service distribution units, canopies, ventilated ceilings, and pollution control units. Working with materials such as Zintec, stainless steel, and aluminium, you will play a key role in delivering precision-built components to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Setting up TIG welding machines to meet specific project requirements
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Fabricating and welding components accurately and to specification
* Producing high-quality finished work with strong attention to detail
* Working to agreed production timescales and deadlines
* Collaborating effectively with colleagues across the factory floor
* Adhering to all health & safety policies and procedures
* Willingness to work overtime occasionally, in line with business needs
About You
You will be a motivated and detail-focused individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for quality manufacturing. You take pride in your craftsmanship and are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Experience working with 1.2mm stainless steel, including polishing
* Previous TIG welding experience
* Experience using a variety of welding equipment and techniques
* Confident using electrical and manual workshop tools
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong understanding of workplace health & safety standards
