We are seeking an ESG Analyst to join our successful ESG team. This is a home-based role with occasional travel to our offices.
Role and Responsibilities
You will support the preparation of ESG disclosures for our clients across various frameworks such as SECR, Scope 3 inventories, Net-Zero Strategies, TCFD, CDP, PRI, GRI, SASB, and GRESB. You will assist in creating effective client strategies for emission reduction targets and ESG impacts, and help develop ESG services that remain market-leading as the market evolves.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting data analysis and report production for strategic ESG and reporting services, focusing on:
2. Calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions, including SECR disclosures, TCFD, Climate Scenarios, and CDP assessments
3. Developing Net-Zero Strategies and Science-Based Targets
4. Analyzing environmental, social, and governance data to provide practical insights to clients
5. Researching climate scenarios, GHG emissions, and net-zero developments for external communications
6. Participating in internal and client meetings, communicating progress effectively
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
* Degree in STEM or Humanities or equivalent professional experience
* Interest and awareness of ESG, climate change mitigation, and Net-Zero policies
* Ability to process complex technical data into client-ready information
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills
* Strong report-writing skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects
Desirable:
* Over 2 years of experience in consultancy or analytical roles related to ESG or environmental management
* Experience with carbon footprint calculations, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and SECR reporting
* Experience with carbon inventories and compliance schemes like CDP
* Knowledge of product lifecycle assessments
