Overview
Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey – Hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week from home
A Vessel Operations Engineer is required to work on an initial 12 month contract with hybrid working arrangements (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
Experience of offshore projects is required, with ideally experience within offshore installation.
Responsibilities
* Mobilization activities, including wet buckle contingency and pre-commissioning spread preparation onboard.
* Pre-lay survey.
* Anchor pile installation and support to Castorone for initiation PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
* Touch down point monitoring during Castorone pipelay campaign (readiness to intervene in case of wet buckle).
* Support to Castorone for laydown PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
* Anchor pile removal.
* Pre-commissioning campaign (flooding, cleaning and gauging).
* Final demob.
Project preparation responsibilities
* Liaising with the engineering team to guarantee all the required documentation is prepared, shared and commented by the vessel crew.
* Follow up procurement of all items requested by the vessel for the project execution.
* Interface with the vessel team to guarantee project requirements are met.
* Interface with ASSETS department to guarantee marine spread readiness.
Offshore operations responsibilities
* Liaising with the onshore PMT, VMT, OCM and CLIENT representative to ensure that CLIENT specifications and the CONTRACTOR installation manual are followed.
* Assists the OCM in engineering aspects and advises on project-specific items.
* Completion of onsite technical queries and management of change requests as required during offshore operations.
* Review and approval of task plans pertaining to pipeline operations written offshore to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
* Jointly responsible with the QC Coordinator for ensuring the correct revisions of documents are available on-board.
