Job Summary
We are seeking a Locum Specialty Registrar in Surgery with experience across ENT, Urology, and Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O) to provide high-quality care within the NHS Trust. The role will involve inpatient, outpatient, theatre, and on-call duties, supporting consultant teams and junior doctors. The successful candidate will be flexible to travel and available to commence immediately.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care for patients under ENT, Urology, and T&O specialties.
* Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and theatre sessions.
* Contribute to on-call rota, including emergency admissions and acute surgical cover.
* Work alongside consultants, registrars, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with Trust policies and GMC guidance.
* Participate in audits, teaching, and departmental meetings where required.
* Maintain professional development and mandatory training requirements.
Essential Requirements
* Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
* Right to work in the UK
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Minimum 4 years post-graduate surgical experience
* Experience at Specialty Registrar (SPR) level in Surgery (ENT, Urology, T&O desirable)
* Valid ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification
* Ability to work flexibly, including on-call shifts
* Immediate availability
Desirable
* MRCS or equivalent postgraduate qualification
* Previous NHS experience in ENT, Urology, and Trauma & Orthopaedics
* ATLS certification
* Teaching experience

Contract length: 45 months
Pay: £63.18-£82.31 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
