An opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to join a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which funds projects and activities that transform communities. This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract for the role of Legal Manager.
Role Overview
As the Legal Manager, you will report to the Head of Legal Services and manage a team of 5. Your responsibilities include overseeing compliance processes, legal policies, legal projects, procurement, and risk strategies. You will focus on high-value, high-risk, and complex legal projects, building relationships with organizational leaders and external stakeholders, including Government and other NDPBs.
Candidate Requirements
* UK qualified solicitor, barrister, or equivalent with at least seven years’ relevant experience.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Experience working for a similar public body or within the public sector is highly desirable.
