Opogo and our community of schools are looking for adaptable candidates to work within our Sixth Form College in Newham, on a long-term supply basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Nurture pupils in developing lifelong, transferrable skills.
* Assist in providing one-to-one and small group support.
* Create a rapport with parents and track student progress.
* Support the emotional and social development of pupils.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate
* Good behaviour management skills.
* Previous experience working with SEND pupils (preferred but not required).
* Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of SEND best practices.
* Eager to support students academically and emotionally.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team to ensure pupil progression academically and emotionally.
About The Role
Teaching Assistants should have a positive attitude towards pupils and aid them in achieving success and excelling in the classroom. The successful candidate should demonstrate assertiveness, good behaviour management, and a passion for supporting all pupils. Previous experience working with SEND pupils is preferred. Candidates should be able to support pupils of varying abilities.
Opogo seeks graduates to work in our Newham Secondary Schools. These roles are suitable for all and will start after the half term, involving working with KS3-year groups. Your duties include working alongside teachers to ensure children perform at their best, including 1:1 or small group support for children needing additional help.
