To be professionally accountable for the maintenance of standards of professional practice as set by the appropriate regulatory body applicable to your profession or role. To work within the theatre department and support the Practice Development Practitioner with the assessment of training needs and subsequent development and delivery of training programmes including local induction, in‑house training and on‑going educational and clinical development programmes for healthcare students, TSA's, Nurses and ODP's. The post holder will liaise with theatre staff and be responsible for the provision of continuing education and training in the clinical area and assessing clinical practice.
To Be Accountable For
* Ensuring safe and effective clinical practice
* Enhancing the patient’s experience
* Ensuring effective contribution to the delivery of the organisation’s objectives
* To assist the Professional Development Practitioner (PDP) with the identification, planning, co‑ordination, delivery and evaluation of educational opportunities, programmes and activities for theatre staff and students.
* To teach a wide range of practical and theoretical sessions to all levels of theatre staff in the clinical settings.
* To develop teaching and learning materials and use a variety of teaching and support methods to meet the differing needs of theatre staff and students.
* Provide support to clinical staff and students within the clinical setting with regard to their ongoing learning and professional development.
* Undertake individual action planning with students and clinical staff, and formally assess progress, providing management reports as required.
