Job Description:
Your new company
Hays Education has recently seen an increased need for local ASD Specialist Teaching Assistants in SEN Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply.
We work with a number of schools across Northamptonshire, covering areas such as Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant working through Hays, you'll have local work in your preferred areas, in schools you choose.
We are recruiting on behalf of an SEN school in Corby for children and young people aged 4-18 with additional needs including ASD and PMLD. The school was established in 2018 and has over 140 students. It offers facilities like a hydrotherapy pool, forest school, physiotherapy room, and recording studio.
Your new role
We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join the team ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a term-time only role. We want dedicated individuals to support students with diverse needs, helping them develop social, life, and independence skills.
The successful candidate will make a positive impact on students' lives, building trusting relationships and encouraging them through personalized support.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults with PMLD, SEMH needs, or Autism Spectrum Conditions. Please note we cannot support overseas applications for these roles.
What you'll get in return
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rewarding SEN environment with diverse students.
You will receive:
* Competitive pay rates
* Holiday pay and pension contributions
* Access to Hays Hub mobile app for managing bookings
* Ongoing professional development and support
* A dedicated team of professionals available to assist you
* Refer-a-Friend scheme worth £250 in high street vouchers
