Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Barnsley, S72. As a 1:1 TA (KS1), you will work closely with one pupil, providing tailored assistance to meet their learning, social, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one support to a KS1 pupil with specific learning or additional needs.
* Assist in delivering individualised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
* Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
* Adapt learning resources and activities to suit the pupil’s needs.
* Maintain clear communication with staff, parents, and external professionals to support the pupil’s progress.
Requirements 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience supporting pupils in KS1, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
* Patience, resilience, and a caring approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
