You’ll also provide expert process engineering advice and take on some of the more complex technical challenges within the team. Your duties and responsibilities will be Produce design deliverables (drawings, reports, calculations) that adhere to safety, cost, quality, and time requirements. Provide process engineering support and solutions for challenging technical problems. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and optimisation projects. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and company standards. Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders, including occasional travel to other sites for project coordination. Where appropriate, mentor and develop junior team members, supporting their growth and knowledge transfer.You will have the following qualifications & experience A BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering or a relevant field Relevant experience as a Process Engineer, ideally in the nuclear or highly regulated sector. Experience in producing process discipline documents and supporting team-based engineering tasks. Ability to assist with process engineering coordination and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Legal right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain SC clearance prior to employment.It’s great if you also have the following Communication skills – ability to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and team members, both oral and written. Proactivity – ability to independently seek out or develop one’s own answer to challenging technical questions. Questioning attitude – ability to analyse situations and challenge the conditions, activities or solutions to support continuous improvement and develop areas of best practice. Organisational excellence – ability to organise one’s own time and the time of others to ensure internal / external deadlines are achieved and Client expectations are exceeded. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
