Pay: £101.40 per day
Location: Maidenhead
Start Date: February 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:45pm (term time only)
Training: Full education, training, and CPD provided

This Learning Support Assistant role is an excellent entry point into psychology, designed for graduates who want to gain practical, paid experience before progressing into Clinical, Educational, or Child Psychology.

Based in a specialist autism school in Maidenhead, you will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) who present with behavioural challenges, emotional regulation needs, and learning barriers. The focus of the role is on supporting behaviour, improving engagement, and raising attainment, within a structured, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.

3. Using structured routines, visual supports, and sensory strategies to reduce anxiety and support regulation
4. Working to raise attainment by helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop independence
5. Observing behaviour patterns, identifying triggers, and supporting proactive behaviour plans
6. Working alongside teachers, SEN specialists, and therapists, gaining exposure to multidisciplinary practice

15. Strong communicators who can build trusting, professional relationships
16. Committed to learning, reflection, and long-term development in psychology

Experience supporting children or young people is beneficial but not essential.
