Research, generate, and evaluate product concepts, including feasibility and technical risk assessment
Produce detailed 3D CAD designs and associated engineering documentation for manufacture
Build, assemble, and test prototypes in-house and in relevant real-world environments
Define suitable materials and manufacturing processes in line with performance, cost, and quality targets
Compile and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support tooling and cost estimation activities
Work closely with supply chain partners to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable
Support sample review and sign-off prior to production
Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams by providing renders, visuals, and technical input
Manage your own projects, tracking progress, risks, and delivery against timelines
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Demonstrated experience delivering products from concept through to production
Strong 3D CAD skills, ideally using SolidWorks or a similar package

Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes and how to apply them effectively
Hands-on experience with prototyping, model making, and product testing
Ability to manage projects, priorities, and deadlines independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience working with low-voltage electronic products or in regulated product environments
Familiarity with FEA, rendering, and visualisation tools
Experience preparing marketing visuals, renders, or animations
Understanding of global supply chains and outsourced manufacturing
Structured and organised approach with the ability to prioritise workloads
Creative, practical, and collaborative working style
