Location: Central Office in Islington with hybrid working and regular service visits
Salary: £35,700
Contract: 12-month fixed term, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with flexibility
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our Compliance, Risk, and Audit team, which includes a Director, Head of Service, and three experienced officers. This role will complete the team, which is responsible for maintaining high standards of Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement across SIG. You will help foster a safe, transparent, and inclusive environment, supporting staff, residents, and participants, and ensuring compliance with data protection, health, and safety frameworks aligned with legislative changes.
* Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts, collaborating with teams to implement remedial actions and mitigation strategies.
* Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and providing practical guidance.
* Manage data, analyze trends, and produce clear, high-quality reports.
* Support organizational complaints processes, ensuring adherence to policies and timelines.
* Investigate whistleblowing concerns, assisting the audit and compliance team, and safeguarding whistleblowers.
About You
* Experience in complaints handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits.
* Knowledge of governance systems, risk management, investigations, and report writing.
* Experience managing quality standards and understanding health and safety procedures.
* Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new software.
* Excellent report writing skills.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of the impact of stigma and marginalization on people with complex needs.
* Knowledge of current legislation related to health and safety in care settings.
