Windows Server & Virtualization Engineer Role Summary The Windows Server & Virtualization Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and hardening Windows Server 2025 environments across physical Dell host servers and virtual machines. The role includes Hyper-V setup, network configuration, security hardening, and end-to-end implementation of server infrastructure. Key Responsibilities 1. Windows Server Deployment (Physical Hosts) - Perform installation of Windows Server 2025 OS on six Dell servers. - Configure essential components including NIC setup, network parameters, roles, features, and storage settings. - Apply all security updates, patches, and OS-level hardening as per best practices. 2. Network Configuration - Configure and validate network interface cards (NICs) across all Dell host servers. - Implement NIC teaming/bonding for redundancy and performance across six host servers. - Ensure consistent and secure network architecture as per project requirements.
3. Virtualization & Hyper-V Setup - Install and configure Hyper-V roles on all six Dell host servers. - Set up Hyper-V virtual switches, network segmentation, and routing as needed. - Apply best practices for virtualization security, performance, and resource allocation.
4. Virtual Machine Deployment - Deploy six virtual machines (VMs) across the configured Hyper-V host servers. - Optimize VM resource allocation including CPU, memory, storage, and networking. - Validate VM functionality, communication paths, and performance metrics.
5. Virtual Server Configuration & Hardening - Install Windows Server 2025 OS on all six virtual servers. - Configure core settings: domain join, NIC configuration, hostname, roles, and features. - Perform OS patching, updates, and hardening based on security baselines.
