Job Overview
Project to construct a new membrane bioreactor to treat combined primary treated flows from Wigan and Skelmersdale WWTPs to meet EA regulatory output dates in March 2030. The role will be site based.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with temporary works manager & coordinator to ensure permit to load is in place for lifting activities
* Undertake CTRM inspections of the site, specifically relating to lifting, on a regular basis to ensure all lifting operations are undertaken in line with the lift plans/permits
* Review and approve all supply chain lift plans, including issuing permits to lift
* Mentor less experienced Lift APs in the Engineering team
* Own and update lift plan register and lifting permit register
* Prepare and maintain lift plans for all self‑delivery works and issue lift permits
* Produce and maintain lifting equipment register
* Produce and brief RAMS for self‑delivery lifting activities
* Allocate duties and appoint lifting personnel on site, maintaining a register
* Review RAMS that include lifting operations
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* 10+ years of civil engineering experience
* Review and approval of lift plans for a wide range of lifting appliances
* Able to produce and brief lift plans for a wide range of lifting appliances
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experience of tower cranes
Essential Qualifications
* CPCS Appointed Person Lifting (Blue Card)
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
* CPCS Temporary works supervisor
