About the Team
You’ll join the Head of Information Security supporting and collaborating with all parts of the business to deliver a secure environment enabling impactful outcomes for Risk Ledger and our customers.
This Role
As our Senior SecOps Engineer you’ll play a critical part in maintaining and improving the security of our product, business tools, people, and organization.
Responsibilities
* Drive technical security health and productivity by continuously improving our IT operations estate, simplifying and automating processes to remove friction for people while balancing risk.
* Support, coach, and inform our people by listening to their needs, explaining security risks and controls in clear language, and helping them achieve safe goals.
* Constructively contribute by asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, encouraging learning, and influencing positive impact through respect.
* Manage a dynamic and diverse portfolio, planning work, technical developments, and prioritisation in partnership with the Information Security Manager.
* Grow your own skills and knowledge by identifying learning opportunities and applying necessary skills to meet business needs and develop security expertise.
* Have an impact across a growing scale‑up, from administering systems to delivering projects that enhance product and service resilience.
You’ll Have
* An operational focus prioritizing security over compliance.
* Prior experience deploying and maintaining Google Workspace, Jamf MDM, AWS, and various SaaS.
* Applied knowledge of technical security operations and fundamental best practices to support others.
* Innate curiosity and creativity with a keen interest in extracting the best security value from available tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a calm demeanor during incidents.
* Demonstrated experience mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their professional growth.
* Extensive experience navigating and managing security and operational incidents.
* Proven ability to thrive and deliver in a high‑paced, resource‑conscious startup or scale‑up environment.
What You Might Have
* Strong understanding and ability to implement effective security controls throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
* Experience building, securing, and maintaining infrastructure and services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Experience in SIEM engineering, including deployment, optimization, and tuning of monitoring platforms.
* Experience leading and conducting product security threat‑modeling sessions across development teams.

Salary Range
£75,000 - £85,000 GBP
