Are you ready to take the reins of customer campaigns and drive measurable impact? We're looking for a Direct Marketing Lead to own the strategy, tools, and delivery of direct communications.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a small team, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and ensure every campaign is effective, compliant, and customer-first.
What You'll Be Doing
* Create and deliver the customer contact strategy, driving acquisition, conversion, retention, and loyalty.
* Lead all direct marketing activity across postal, email, and SMS channels.
* Manage, coach, and support the Direct Marketing Manager and oversee campaign delivery.
* Use data, segmentation, and insight to improve customer communications.
* Own campaign tools, budgets, and supplier relationships, ensuring full value is delivered.
* Report on campaign effectiveness and carry out A/B testing to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) regulations.
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience delivering direct marketing campaigns (postal, email, SMS).
* Solid understanding of campaign management tools, database marketing, segmentation, and targeting.
* Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex topics simply.
* Confident analysing campaigns and turning results into strategy.
* Strong planning, project management, and Excel skills.
* Detail-obsessed, organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of financial services regulation and compliance requirements.
Preferred
* A Diploma in Direct Marketing (or equivalent).
* Experience with Google Analytics and/or data modelling techniques.
* ESP platform expertise.
