Description
We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our centralised HR team. This is a varied generalist role where you’ll support the full employee lifecycle, provide first‑line HR advice to managers, and contribute to people projects that support business strategy.
You’ll work closely with managers and HR colleagues, ensuring HR services are delivered consistently, professionally and in line with agreed service levels and best practice.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational HR delivery, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery of people projects aligned to the People Strategy
* Provide first‑line HR advice and guidance to managers on standard employee relations matters, escalating complex issues where appropriate
* Manage recruitment activity and deliver a positive candidate and onboarding experience
* Act as a subject matter expert for the online recruitment platform
* Coordinate onboarding activity, including contracts, Right to Work checks and inductions
* Support performance management, salary review and bonus processes, ensuring accurate administration and communication
* Coordinate learning and development activity, including training bookings and HR‑led sessions
* Support colleague engagement, wellbeing, recognition and EDI initiatives
* Maintain HR systems and produce accurate HR metrics and reports (e.g. absence, turnover, KPIs)
* Manage leaver processes and support benefits administration
* Deliver an effective HR service in line with agreed SLAs
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Experience working in an HR advisory or generalist HR role
* Strong knowledge of core HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration and HR systems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, timely outcomes
* Competent user of Microsoft Office and HR systems
* Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable
* Business, HR or related qualification (or equivalent experience)
* Associate CIPD membership (or working towards)
* Experience producing HR metrics and reports
