Our exclusive client, based in Nelson, is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. This manufacturing firm need an experienced allrounder to take responsibility for the day-to-day accounting.
Duties including:
* Full responsibility for the purchase ledger including dealing with queries, processing invoices and statement reconciliations
* Preparing payment runs and ensuring payment terms are adhered to
* Raising sales invoices and credit notes where necessary
* Liasing with the sales team to resolve customer invoice queries and disputes
* Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
* Chasing overdue payments and resolving queries to ensure prompt payment
* Reconciliations of bank account and credit card statements
* Analysis of expenses and preparing a monthly summary
You need to have previous accounting experience to be considered for this role, ideally from a varied role. You need to be naturally organised, be able to work to deadlines and be a good team player.
