Area Sales Manager - Scotland Region
A bit about the role:
We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially driven professional to help Keylite Roof Windows strengthen and grow its market-leading position. This role plays a key part in driving sales of our roof windows and associated products, building strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers, and delivering outstanding commercial performance aligned with our business and sales strategies.
You’ll be the face of Keylite within your trading area, actively engaging customers, identifying new opportunities, and promoting innovative solutions that set us apart in the market.
Our comprehensive product range includes pitched and flat roof windows, blinds, timber loft ladders, and flashings—designed to make installation easier and performance better for our customers.

What you will be doing:
* Ensure customer sales targets, national account targets and area budgets are achieved or exceeded both personally and in support of our wider business.
* Create and maintain Business Development Plans for key area accounts and own trading area.
* Promote a positive image of Keylite Roof Windows in the market place and internally, act as a role model to colleagues at all times.
* Review customer performance regularly and ensure actions are progressing, taking corrective actions where necessary.
* Identify actual and prospective business opportunities; negotiate trading terms within the agreed parameters.
* Maintain, develop and improve relationships at allocated level within our customer’s organization
* Update on a daily basis the company's CRM tool. Agenda tasks, outcomes, leads, complaints, quotes, pricing, schedule updates and area call reports with actions.
* Work in partnership with the internal sales team to promote best practice and deliver success within your team
* Actively pursue, secure, and generate new quotes within your region
* Via training & documentation provided by the company, ensure a good understanding of the company's products.
* Liaise with other Keylite departments, and ensure effective cross departmental communication at all times.
* Instill and maintain excellent customer service, whilst at the same time, managing customer expectations in line with Keylite company policies and procedures
* Attend various industry events which may involve both evening & weekend work and overnight stays
* Instil and maintain a customer service culture where the customer always comes first. This includes a customer service culture for our internal and external customers.
* As the company expands and due to ongoing changes in market conditions and the business environment, it is a requirement of the position to undertake any other reasonable task related to the position you hold.
What we are looking for:
* Proven experience as a Sales Manager or relevant role in the construction or building materials industry.
* Strong understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence and ability to develop long-term relationships with both customers and colleagues
* Sales and performance target-oriented; self-motivated, dynamic and driven
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a successful track record of account management
* Confident at working independently with the skills to work under your own initiative
* A UK driving license is essential, as the role requires extensive travel in the sales areas of responsibility, with some overnight stays.
* Good organizational and time management skills ensuring accurate recording of activities on CRM system.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office products.
