Our Apprentice programmes will be the first step on your career path to becoming a Housing Management professional. You will be at the heart of public/social housing working within our local estates and communities. It could be housing management, community development, repairs and maintenance or developing and planning for building new homes. Main Terms and Conditions of Employment Salary for the post is currently £23,088 per annum. The post is a fixed term post for 2 years. Applicant will be eligible to join the NILGOSC (Northern Ireland Local Government Officers Superannuation Committee) contributory pension scheme. Mileage allowance will be paid to the post holder. Annual Leave: 22 daysplus 11 recognised statutory holidays. Newington operates a Flexible Working Policy and contracted hours are 37 per week from Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work outside normal office hours, attend meetings, training events, seminars and conferences and some weekend work, if necessary. Location The role is based at Newington Housings head office, which is located at 300 Limestone Road, Belfast, BT15 3AR. However, the post holder will be expected to be able to travel throughout Northern Ireland and occasionally further afield. Essential Criteria Candidates must: 5 GCSEs (including Grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent). Must be committed to enrolling on and completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Housing Practice through North West Regional College (NWRC).
