Role Information The school is looking to appoint a motivated and skilled Science Technician to support the delivery of high-quality science education across KS3–KS5. Key responsibilities include: Preparing chemical solutions, equipment, and materials for practical lessons Maintaining laboratory equipment, glassware, and apparatus Ensuring safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals Supporting teachers during practical demonstrations Managing stock control, ordering supplies, and monitoring budgets Setting up physics, chemistry, and biology experiments Conducting routine safety checks, risk assessments, and compliance tasks Maintaining prep rooms and prep inventories Assisting with demonstrations and exam practical setups Supporting STEM clubs, science fairs, and enrichment events This role requires strong attention to detail, good organisation, and confidence in a lab environment.
