The Opportunity:
Our client is a Hong Kong-based trading company seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead operations at their newly established warehouse in Southeast London. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong balance of warehouse oversight, logistics coordination, and operational team development.
The Role:
1. Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including the handling and storage of a diverse product range such as high-value and perishable luxury goods.
2. Oversee global inventory and goods flow, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency across multiple warehouse locations.
3. Design and execute logistics strategies involving complex arrangements such as import/export processes, chartered flights, and escorted shipments.
4. Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with customs and transit procedures, particularly for bonded warehouses.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international logistics partners and vendors.
6. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders across time zones.
7. Ensure operations meet all regulatory and compliance standards, with a particular focus on security, confidentiality, and storage conditions for high-value items.
