Cover Supervisor (Secondary)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task. This is the perfect role for aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants looking to take the next step, or individuals with a strong academic background and a desire to work in education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise lessons across a range of subjects using provided resources
• Maintain a positive and focused learning environment
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback on lesson delivery and student participation
• Support students with varied learning needs, including those with SEN
The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience working with young people in a school or youth setting
• Confident classroom presence and excellent communication skills
• Adaptable, reliable, and calm under pressure
• A passion for education and the ability to inspire learners
• Degree holders or those with teaching aspirations highly encouraged
