Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis. As an SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a student with special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, following their individual education plan (IEP) and adapting learning materials as needed.
* Assist the student with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, to support their progress and achievement.
* Implement strategies to support the student's social and emotional development, promoting their wellbeing and inclusion within the school community.
* Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and SENCO to monitor the student's progress and communicate any concerns or achievements.
* Maintain accurate records of the student's progress and achievements, ensuring confidentiality and data protection regulations are adhered to.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a 1:1 support role.
* Understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions, including differentiation and individualised learning approaches.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students who may display challenging behaviour or have complex needs.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with students of varying ages and abilities.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
