CNC Milling Machining Technician (Weekend Shift - Friday to Sunday)

Salary: £24.56 per hour (inclusive of 30% weekend shift premium)
Hours: 36 hrs per week, overtime availablity
Start times/Finishes: x3 12hr shifts, either 11:30am - 23:30 OR 13:00- 01:00am
About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Milling Machining Technician to join a specialist engineering team on the weekend shift. Working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday across 12-hour shifts, you will play a key role in producing high-quality transmission components for motorsport, aerospace, and high-performance engineering sectors.
You'll work within a small team that values precision, collaboration, and a right-first-time mentality. Full support will be provided through EdgeCam and Delcam offline programming as well as guidance from an experienced team leader.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture precision components from technical drawings and route cards.
* Operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis (3+2) CNC machines to tight tolerances.
* Read and interpret Fanuc machine code, performing basic on-machine programming.
* Edit CNC programs and adjust speeds/feeds to optimise machining performance.
* Use measurement tools to inspect components and ensure specification compliance.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
* Support wider manufacturing activities when required.
* Work overtime and operate multiple machines when necessary to meet KPIs.
* (Desirable) Apply basic knowledge of wire erosion.
