Criminal Solicitor | NQ-2 PQE | SE London | £35 - £45k | Friendly firm with great training
A friendly and flexible firm, based not too far from Crystal Palace, is looking for a junior Solicitor to join their thriving criminal law team. They have a strong focus on client experience, which has led them to having a busy caseload of incoming matters. The successful candidate will be friendly, a strong communicator, able to represent clients in a magistrates court, and interested in progressing their career. This is an excellent option for a junior Crime Solicitor looking for their first steps post-qualification.
Location: Crystal Palace, London (SE London area).
Responsibilities
* Conduct criminal law cases from inception to conclusion with a good level of independence and responsibility.
* Assist partners and senior lawyers with their caseload of files, dealing effectively with a variety of matters.
* Input and assist with the development of the department and larger firm.
* Deal directly with clients and maintain the highest standard of care, taking instructions and ensuring full compliance.
* Liaise with all parties including defendants, government agencies, courts or other relevant parties.
Skills and Experience
* UK qualified Solicitor NQ-2 PQE with training from a reputable firm.
* Strong experience with criminal law matters, with the ability to conduct magistrates court cases and an interest in complex crown court matters.
* Interest in becoming police station or duty accredited, or currently Police station or Duty accreditation.
* Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.
* A proactive, friendly personality with enthusiasm for developing their team and the wider firm.
