Plant Fitter
Location: East Midlands (site-based, within 30 minutes of Burton-on-Trent/Swadlincote)
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 + overtime + benefits
We are working with a well-established industrial business investing heavily in a new state-of-the-art facility. As part of this growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join a small, close-knit maintenance team.
The Role:
* Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery including shredders, trommels and loading shovels
* Carry out inspections, fault finding and diagnostics using modern equipment
* Complete mechanical repairs, part replacements and adjustments to ensure operational efficiency
* Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and electrical testing tools
* Maintain accurate service records and daily job logs
About You:
* Proven experience working on heavy plant or similar machinery
* Experience within waste, recycling or similar environments beneficial
* Welding experience advantageous
* Time served with recognised engineering qualifications
* Strong work ethic with good communication skills
