What you’ll be doing
The role is desk-based and will be carried out within a secure environment, requiring strict adherence to security protocols at all times.
Role responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver complex design solutions that meet customer requirements, clearly outlining the services to be provided.
2. Design solution to detail equipment, components, networks services, cabinet layouts, connectivity diagrams, and field team work instructions
3. Identify and communicate risks that could impact delivery against customer SLAs, ensuring proactive mitigation.
4. Support the implementation of new technologies onto the secure defence infrastructure
5. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure a positive service experience.
6. Track and update asset management systems to accurately reflect changes made through implemented design solutions.
7. Consistently meet agreed operational performance targets while keeping up-to-date knowledge of relevant products, networks, and systems required for the role.
What skills you’ll need
8. Strong IT literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to manipulate data and produce clear documentation and presentations.
9. Experience using Microsoft Visio is desirable.
10. Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple complex workloads effectively.
11. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
12. A customer-focused mindset with a drive to deliver results and exceed expectations.
