Overview
Join to apply for the Foster Carers - Calderdale Council role at Calderdale Council.
As the times in which we live and work in are changing, the pressures on some families have increased. This means that now more than ever, Calderdale children are in need of loving families to give them a safe and stable home through this difficult time and beyond.
At Calderdale Council, we have unique opportunities for people to make a real difference in every moment of a child’s life. We need local foster carers to support our local children and become part of Calderdale’s fostering team.
You will receive financial support, comprehensive training and dedicated support from our experienced practitioners at every stage.
You will need to be over 21 years old, have a spare bedroom and have a commitment to support a young person in your care. All foster carers have a full assessment including DBS and medical checks.
We welcome enquiries from people of all religions, races, genders and sexuality. Our foster carers reflect a wide range of circumstances and life experience and we assess every application on an individual basis.
Current circumstances, however difficult, may offer an opportunity for you to consider fostering, as many of us are spending more time at home and may perhaps be thinking about changes in our lives and careers.
