Catering/ Housekeeping Team Leader
Location: Fulwood Hall Hospital, Preston
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits
Summary:
Fulwood Hall Hospital was opened as a purpose built facility in 1986. In 2009 the hospital completed a £9m pound investment to refurbish and expand the site, making it the largest independent hospital in Lancashire and one of the largest in the north of England.
The hospital has six consulting rooms supported by a fully equipped outpatient treatment room, a pre-assessment unit for screening and assessing patients prior to surgery as well as modern imaging facilities and a brand new physio and sports therapy department including gymnasium.
The role:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Catering/ Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at the Fulwood Hall Hospital, based in Preston. You will be a dynamic, self-motivated team leader of the hospital’s housekeeping team.
As a Catering/ Housekeeping Team Leader you will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate a broad experience in the cleaning sector within a healthcare setting, hotel or similar environment. You will take an active part in the team completing rotas and staff records. You will be responsible for completing training and audits/inspections to ensure we meet and exceed expectations, to drive constant development and improvement.
The Catering/ Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee the cleaning standards of patient rooms, clinical and public areas throughout the hospital. You will supervise the day-day activities of the Housekeepers, whilst training and developing the team’s skills and knowledge to ensure that high cleaning standards are met inline with the clinical expectations.
Key duties:
* Supervision, training and development of Housekeeping and Catering team
* Staff rostering, induction and PDRs and absence management
* Conduct training sessions with the housekeeping team to include COSHH, Isolation/MRSA cleaning, Equipment handling, Health & Safety
* To undertake hospital cleanliness audits with department leads and implement any actions with the team
* Ability to multi-task
* Overseeing and ordering of supplies and equipment as required
