Location: Anglesey
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
A well‑established engineering manufacturer is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of advanced mobile machinery. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing technical company.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical design from concept to production
* Produce 3D models and drawings (PTC Creo)
* Conduct FEA and structural analysis
* Integrate hydraulic systems into mechanical designs
* Support prototypes, testing and validation
* Prepare CE/UKCA documentation and risk assessments
* Maintain BOMs and design data in ERP/PLM systems
* Work cross‑functionally with engineering and quality teams
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Mechanical design experience within machinery or regulated industries
* Strong CAD (PTC Creo) and FEA skills
* Understanding of hydraulics and structural design
* Experience with CE/UKCA compliance (advantageous)
* Strong communication and documentation ability
* Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC)
