Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager

Salary: Circa - £75k (Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
1. The deployment, governance, and maintenance of the BCCR Engineering Framework
2. Configuration of the engineering baseline programme requirements and engineering artefacts
3. Capability solution assurance and maturity compliance
4. Deployment of the tailored BCCR ELCM framework and plan
5. Control Account Manager (CAM) lead for the BCCR Engineering team
Your skills and experiences:
1. Degree educated in a STEM discipline or equivalent, or have evidenced-based varied experience in engineering organisations at a department leadership level
2. Ideally a Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartered Engineer membership
3. Ability to advise, critique, and make recommendations on capability solution proposals against derived system requirements
4. Ability to interpret customer user requirements and advise teams and BCCR Work Stream Leads on how these requirements can be derived and appropriately captured to ensure compliance
5. Lead and advise on programme Hazard Management and Product Security Meetings, defining criteria for 'acceptably safe' and 'secure by design' solutions

About the BAE Systems Capability, Capacity & Resilience (BCCR) Team:
Reporting to the SSNA BCCR Head of Engineering, the Engineering Manager will lead the BCCR Engineering team supporting the submarine programme through process documentation, governance activities, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves interfacing with customers, understanding requirements, and influencing submarine capabilities supporting national interests. Programmatic responsibilities include system engineering, product integrity, and assurance activities aligned with UK MoD objectives. Relocation support is available for eligible roles.
