About Us
Children’s Hospice South West provides care and support for children with life-limiting conditions. Working as part of a small team, you will support the Manager with running the shop, which is crucial for raising funds to support these children and their families.
Where you will be working
This is a thriving, well-established shop where you can make a real difference within the local community. As a Retail Assistant, you will be involved in all aspects of shop operations, working closely with our friendly team of staff and volunteers. We value our staff and offer an excellent working environment with an enthusiastic and committed team.
The Role
You will serve customers, sort and display stock, handle cash, and follow health and safety procedures. You will have the opportunity to plan, prioritize, and delegate tasks to volunteers. You will assist the manager in fostering a positive working culture and creating a happy environment. The shop operates 7 days a week.
The Successful Candidate
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. You should be organized and able to manage your time effectively. Experience in retail or customer service is preferred. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your initiative.

Training
Full on-the-job training will be provided, including shop opening/closing, till operation, and stock display.
