Sustainability Manager at Edwards Vacuum
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with divisional leadership teams to build, develop, and implement a sustainability roadmap for the SUN footprint which aligns with the divisional strategy and the SBTi commitments. Working with the requirements of the environmental, social and governance (ESG).
* Lead development, definition and support execution of the sustainability roadmap initiatives, collaborating cross functionally to establish best practice solutions within our market using external standards to include Carbon, Energy, Water, Waste and Biodiversity.
* Engage with supply chain leaders and divisional management to identify partners who can support us in creating solutions that will support divisional compliance with the sustainability roadmap.
* Support divisional leadership and product companies to identify and develop a pipeline of operational sustainability improvement projects which contribute to clear net zero proposals/business cases to meet our operational commitment and align with the Sustainability Board.
* Work with Engineering, Marketing & Product management, Procurement and operations teams to identify leading requirements to help ensure we develop products that can support marketing leading sustainable solutions.
* Collaborate with the Sustainability business area team to input to the overall transition plan demonstrating our readiness in semiconductors to transition. As an outcome identify competency gaps which generate risk and use this to inform training requirements for our team.
* Work with the business area team to partake in network presence within external industry bodies or thought leaders successfully progress opportunities for Semiconductor Division.
* To create, validate and maintain the division's sustainability reporting and compliance with agreed business area Atlas Copco climate targets including the SBTi and in time align with financial measures.
Qualifications
* Proven capability in delivering projects of a cross functional nature.
* Experience or strong personal interest in sustainability within industry.
* Evidence of implementing new / latest industry standards or compliance in an industrial setting.
* Able to implement with good change management, winning hearts and minds.
* Experience of working within an international organisation with a global remit.
* Experience of working within manufacturing and/or an engineering business. Excellent collaboration skills with experience of working within a matrix environment.
