The University of Nottingham is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow on a fixed-term basis within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a high-impact research programme in a leading research-intensive university environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting research in line with the project’s objectives, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The post holder will play a key role in disseminating research findings through high-quality publications, conference presentations, and other academic outputs. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline within biomedical sciences, medicine, or a closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record or clear potential in conducting independent academic research.
Required expertise/skills
Candidates should possess strong analytical and research skills, with experience in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation. Expertise in relevant laboratory or clinical research techniques is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prepare scientific publications and reports. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines is required.
Salary details
£31,387 to £46,485 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £35,608 per annum for appointment at Research Fellow level).
