About the Role
In this role, you will manage client portfolios across audit, accounts, and tax, ensuring technical excellence and the development of junior staff. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing audit engagements and preparing statutory and annual accounts
* Preparing and reviewing corporation and personal tax computations and returns
* Conducting risk assessments and testing key controls
* Reviewing and mentoring junior and mid-level staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Preparing management letters and reporting audit findings to clients
* Supporting partners with business development and client portfolio management
* Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering proactive advice
* Ensuring compliance with professional standards, accounting regulations, and internal processes
* Promoting efficient working practices and process improvements across the team
Requirements
Who We're Looking For
* ACA or ACCA qualification
* Extensive experience in accounts and tax within a practice environment; audit experience preferred.
* Demonstrable experience reviewing and supervising junior staff
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
* Excellent client management and leadership skills
* Commercial awareness and confidence managing complex workloads
* Familiarity with modern accounting software and systems
